Chicago Bulls ML over Orlando Magic (+370)

Our NBA combo tips show where the Magic will face the Bulls in Orlando. It is their second meeting this season and the Bulls won the first one earlier in the season 102-99. A lot has changed since then and the two teams seem to be going in opposite directions, but I just feel like this is a good matchup for Chicago.

As good as this Orlando defense has been, it has slacked off a bit in the paint protection – teams have averaged 47.3 points in the last three games against it up close. Additionally, their three-point defense is mediocre at best, with opponents hitting 36% of their shots against them. Playing against a team like Chicago could be problematic for Orlando because once the Bulls get out of downtown, they’ll be hard to beat. In their last 7 games, the Bulls have made at least 20 three-pointers twice and 19 three-pointers in 4 of those games. Orlando got 31 points from Paolo Banchero in the first meeting, but he is not playing here. They’ve also been smoking in the rebounding department, so I’d like to see Chicago hand Orlando their first home loss of the season despite long odds.

LA Lakers -2.5 over San Antonio Spurs (-110)

The Lakers have endured a difficult stretch with three straight losses, but the good news is that they have a chance to bounce back here against the Spurs. Victor Wembanyama played extremely well, but his kryptonite is Anthony Davis. AD went 40 and 12 in the first meeting, which the Lakers won 120-115. Wemby had 28 and 14, but he had to work hard to reach those numbers.

LA is simply the more talented team here, and they also have experience on their side. They have beaten the Spurs nine times in eleven meetings in San Antonio and have won seven of the last eight direct duels. The Spurs are in the midst of a four-game winning streak, but they wasted a lot of energy last night in Salt Lake City, scoring 128 points in a 13-point win. I’m counting on the Lakers to bounce back as the next leg of tonight’s NBA game.

Oklahoma City Thunder -2.5 over Golden State Warriors (-114)

We conclude our NBA combo picks in San Francisco, where the Oklahoma City Thunder look to win their third game in a row against the Golden State Warriors. Their last two wins against the Blazers and Kings were both by double digits, which could be a sign of things to come as December approaches. OKC struggled with injuries early in the season, losing their two big men, Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren, as well as a very valuable wing defender in Alex Caruso.

Well, Hartenstein is back and is already filling the statistics with consecutive double-doubles. Because of his size inside, teams are now more reluctant to attack the basket against OKC, adding another dimension to an already elite defense. Golden State is struggling right now as they just lost consecutive games in San Antonio and against the Nets. Steph Curry and Jonathan Kuminga are both listed as questionable on the injury report, and losing either of them would be a major blow to the Warriors’ ambitions. The loss in their first meeting of the season really hurt the Thunder, so I think they will be extra motivated to bounce back in style here.
