Jennifer Hudson is stunning in her red sequin dress as she embarks on an exciting new journey

Jennifer Hudson is ready for the holidays and just gave a masterclass on how to dress perfectly for the holidays.

This year, the talk show host has an important reason to dress up as she rings in the holidays and officially launches her musical comeback.

It’s been a whopping ten years since the EGOT winner last released an original solo album. JHUDin 2014, and although another one is still a long way off, she just released her first holiday album, The gift of love, and will go on tour to perform and celebrate it.

In honor of the tour, Jennifer shared a stunning photo on Instagram over the weekend to confirm that her tour officially begins on Sunday.

In the photo, she is wearing a red sequin dress with long sleeves decorated with red feathers at the hem. She also wears a matching red lip and red earrings to top it off.

“My vacation tour starts tomorrow in NYC!” Jennifer then excitedly announced in her caption, adding, “I can’t wait to look over your head! Which show (you) are you coming to???”

After the tour begins in New York City on Sunday, Jennifer will next perform in her hometown of Chicago on December 13th, followed by a show in Los Angeles and two final stops in Las Vegas on December 21st and 22nd.

After she shared the post, fans quickly took to the comments section below the post and raved about it. One wrote: “One of the best voices of all time”, others followed suit with: “Absolutely amazing!!” and: “Beautiful, I can’t wait to finally see you” and: “Beautiful!!”

Jennifer revealed back in September that she was working on her music comeback, with a video on Instagram in which she is seen driving, taking deep breaths, and revealing that she is on her way to signing her new record deal.

“It’s important,” she explained at the time, adding: “I’m very excited. It’s a beautiful day. I’ve worked for this my whole life so it’s a very special day and I thank God.”

She appeared both thoughtful and nervous as she went on to say: “It’s a great time right now, it really is,” before admitting that she was definitely “tired” but the “anxiety” was waking her up.

“I’m more excited than tired,” she added, writing in her caption, “It’s official!!! I’m so excited to join the @interscope family! Get ready! The music is coming!!!” Interscope Records is owned by Universal Music Group and represents in a similar manner Benny Blanco, Ben PlattBillie Eilish, Elton John, Blink-182Gwen Stefani, Eminem, Lana del Rey, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar, among other things.
