Multiple charges have been filed against a Lynn man after he was accused of threatening two women at a Danvers movie theater on Sunday.

According to WCVB, 34-year-old Ryan Muldoon was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime and disturbing the peace.

Two women who went to see “Wicked” on Sunday told AMC management that Muldoon was in a theater and had threatened them, the news outlet reported. AMC then called the police.

The women said Muldoon threatened to “shoot y’all in the head” during the preview, WCVB reported.

But in Salem District Court on Monday, Muldoon’s attorney said he was repeating rap lyrics and that he had his headphones with him, NBC Boston reported.

Additionally, defense attorney Heather Ramsey said he did not have a weapon.

“There is no assault and no dangerous weapon,” said defense attorney Heather Ramsey, according to WCVB. “There is an allegation of threats, but there is no indication that they were even directed at these individuals. He didn’t go up to them and sit behind them, they came and sat in front of him. There is simply not enough information to determine the likely cause.”

Another hearing will take place on Tuesday. Muldoon will be held until then.

A 26-year-old from Martha’s Vineyard has been accused of stabbing four girls at the AMC Braintree location in May.

Jared Ravizza has been held without bail since his arrest.
