Chris Cenac Jr. has committed to Kelvin Sampson and the Houston Cougars, who now have a serious chance of landing the No. 1 overall recruiting class in 2025. They are currently ranked second behind Duke in the 247 Sports team rankings.

Cenac becomes the Cougars’ highest-ranked recruit of all time.

The Kentucky Wildcats are off to a good start recruiting for the 2025 class. With Jasper Johnson, Malachi Moreno and Acaden Lewis on board, the team has focused on adding another key player to the trio already signed.

Well, we’ll know where one of those players ends up on Tuesday afternoon, as Chris Cenac Jr. has set his decision time.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Cenac will announce his signing on November 26th at 4:30 p.m. ET. The 5-star center will choose between the Cats, Arkansas, LSU, Tennessee, Houston, Baylor and Auburn.

For a long time it looked like the Cats had a chance to land Cenac’s commitment, but given the recent momentum with 5-star forward Caleb Wilson, it appears that one of these other schools will win out.

While the Cats could miss out on Cenac, it appears there could be good news in the next few months if Wilson decides to make his commitment. But at the moment we still have a lot to do.
