The PS5 Access Controller is available as part of a Black Friday PlayStation deal

The Access controller comes with 19 keycaps and three stick caps to help gamers find the configuration that works best for them. For example, a button cap that takes up two sockets might suit someone better than the standard cap. There are 23 interchangeable tags for the keycaps to help players identify which input they have assigned to each key. Additionally, there are four 3.5mm aux ports that players can connect external buttons, switches, and other accessories to.

It is possible to create up to 30 profiles with different button and stick settings. Buttons can also be disabled to avoid accidental presses. In the meantime, there is the option to pair up to two Access controllers and a standard DualSense as a virtual controller. This would allow up to three people to control the same character, meaning family and carers could provide direct assistance to players.
