Kai TrumpPresident-elect Donald Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter captured social media attention by showing off her grandfather’s iconic “YMCA” dance moves in one TikTok Video on board his private jet.
Along with her friend Emma Markin, Kai reenacted the signature steps, including finger pointing and a playful thumbs-up gesture, in the opulent ambience of Trump’s Boeing 757.

“I learned these moves from the best,” Kai captioned the clip, which received praise from her followers. Many urged her to convince Trump to join her on TikTok.
Comments like “No one can do it as well as your grandpa! But you’re close” reflect admiration for their homage to the soon-to-be 47th president’s campaign escapades.
Kai has continued to grow in popularity on social media and has over one million followers on TikTok since her appearance at the Republican National Convention in July. In addition to glimpses into her family life, including moments at Trump’s election night rally at Mar-a-Lago, she balances the world of politics with her passion for golf, where she is already a varsity captain and a rising star in the sport.
Their tribute dance also highlights the widespread adoption of Trump’s moves by athletes, including NFL stars and UFC champions, during their celebrations. However, the viral trend sparked mixed reactions. Critics such as DailyMail.com columnist Tim Howard called for clarity about whether such performances were political statements or just fun.
Kai, who recently committed to golf at the University of Miami, praises her grandfather for his encouragement and support in pursuing her dreams.
Reflecting on their bond, she said, “To me he’s just a regular grandpa…he always encourages me to be the most successful person I can be.”
