Voice fans are left confused as Simone Biles mentors Snoop Dogg in the singing competition

Many fans previously praised Snoop Dogg as “the best judge of all time” during his first season on NBC’s “The Voice,” but now many are turning against him.

In his playoff round, the 53-year-old musician put the rest of his five-singer team to the test with challenging songs.

He also surprised many fans by choosing not a fellow musician as his mega-mentor, but Olympic gymnastics legend Simone Biles.

While this choice stunned many fans, his choice of two singers also drew the ire of many others.

Snoop chose Jeremy Beloate and Christina Eagle to carry on. Many were upset that Mikaela Ayira, Aliyah Khaylyn and Austyns Stancil were sent home, even though many felt they should have stayed.

As Snoop and Simone hugged in the rehearsal room, Snoop explained in his confessional, “I brought Simone Biles because the things she’s been through, going through and the way she has to prepare, is what these artists are actually experiencing.”‘

While fans were confused when Snoop hired an Olympic gymnast as a vocal mentor, many were angry that he chose Beloate and Eagle over Mikaela, Aliyah and Austyns.

After choosing Jeremy, which most fans seemed to have little to no problem with after his strong performance, he told the rest what he based his selection on.

“The one I’m going to choose is the one that I think has the most room to grow in terms of what I’m looking for to end the show,” Snoop said before choosing Christina, although many Fans preferred Aliyah or Austyns.

Reba McEntire also made it to the playoffs in the two-hour episode, voting Adam Bohanan and Danny Joseph to advance, while Lauren-Michael Sellers, Katie O and Edward Preble were eliminated.

The Voice continues its Season 26 run with its final playoff run on Tuesday, with Michael Buble trimming his team down to the final two to round out the top eight.
