Ben Affleck bonds with ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while Jennifer Lopez goes through divorce: ‘He’s very happy’ “You could hear the bang, bang, bang,” witnesses recall of their experiences during the Park Plaza Mall shooting

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – As millions of people fly for Thanksgiving, winter storms could complicate their travel plans.

The Transportation Security Administration said this Thanksgiving will be the busiest travel season on record. Those traveling at Tampa International Airport on Monday said they believed they were in the clear.

“I feel good, we are making progress. It makes me want to look at it and make sure we are prepared for the weather for the Thanksgiving we go to,” the Witt family said. “We were doing pretty well. We’re having a little delay tonight, but hey, we’re not worried. It’s better than a hurricane.”

The brewing storm systems will continue through the week. TSA estimates 18.3 million people will be screened. These travelers should be prepared for waiting times at the airport.

“It definitely gives me some concerns. “I’ve experienced bad weather at the airport, so with the holidays and so many people already here, I’m not looking forward to the possibility of missing flights or getting delayed flights,” said Brianna Nuzzo , a traveler.

As of 9 p.m. Monday, TPA had recorded 75 delays and one canceled flight. Passengers said traveling didn’t feel so bad on Monday as many of them were ready for vacation.

“I think people are just ready to see their family, especially from Florida because we just went through a lot with the last two hurricanes, so I think people are just ready to get away,” Nuzzo said.

TSA wait time standards are less than 10 minutes for TSA precheck lanes and less than 30 minutes for standard check lanes.

We still recommend that you get to the airport early.
